Patrick Hull (Co-Founder and Director):
Patrick is a lifetime serial entrepreneur. As a businessman and investor he controls financial interests in over 30 different companies. With ventures in technology, entertainment, private jets, real estate, restaurants and innovations in transportation he is a successful and astute entrepreneur with a passion for marketing innovations. In addition to supporting local and world-wide charities as a patron and benefactor, Patrick founded The Hull Foundation in 2009 as a means for his family to disseminate gifts to charitable causes of their interests. He resides in Chesterfield County, Virginia with his wife and three children.
Hobbies: Marketing, jet skiing and traveling

What’s the most difficult thing you have accomplished thus far? Trying to think of something that I have thought of as difficult
Carroll Hurst (Co-Founder and Director):
Carroll is a founding partner of Keiter, Stephens, Hurst, Gary & Shreaves and a Director of Keiter Stephens Advisors. For more than 30 years, he has provided audit, tax, and consulting services to privately-owned business organizations, estates, trusts and foundations. Carroll speaks regularly on mergers and acquisitions issues and business succession planning to various organizations.
Carroll is a longtime supporter of the Richmond art scene and serves on the board of directors of the Richmond Ballet. In addition, he is actively involved with social services organizations in the community. He is a co-founder of Richmond Unite and past treasurer of William Byrd Community House.
Carroll resides in the far west end with his wife, Robin. Robin and Carroll have two grown daughters—one living in New York City and the other in the Richmond area.
Hobbies: I spend a lot of time on my John Deere and Dixie Chopper perfecting the lawn at my home here and on the Bay. You can also find me on the golf course perfecting my swing.
What’s the most difficult thing you have accomplished thus far? Convincing my beautiful wife to marry me 28 years ago. As they say, I definitely married above myself
Alice Gentry-Lingerfelt (Interim Executive Director):
Alice and her husband (Carl), cat (Harold Moses) and dog (Lucky) live in the near west end of Richmond, Virginia. A Virginia girl born and raised, she is honored to serve as Executive Director for Richmond Unite and to foster a campaign to improve the lives of the youth in the Greater Richmond area. Alice brings to the team a diverse experience of service to non-profit organizations, having worked either professionally or as a volunteer for many organizations, including Leukemia Lymphoma Society, Habitat for Humanity, and the Richmond Choral Society. With a professional background in and passion for project implementation, she is enjoying the unique twist to fundraising that the experienced entrepreneurial founders are applying to the Richmond Unite project.
Hobbies: retro-renovating, music

What’s the most difficult thing you have accomplished thus far? Learning to swim at the age of 40 – just five months prior to my first triathlon
Phil Conein (Director):
Phil received his BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. In addition to Richmond Unite, he also serves on the RichTech Board of Directors, is a former member of the board of directors of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA) Business Council, is the founder of Richmond’s Linkedin Live series and is an active member and former member of the board of directors of the Virginia Council of CEO’s.
Twenty-three years ago, Phil founded TECHEAD with his partner and wife, Philise Conein. Using their wedding money as working capital, they grew their business out of their small one bedroom apartment into an 8,000 square foot building in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom. TECHEAD was awarded the distinction of being an Inc. 5000 Multiple Year Honoree TOP list by Inc Magazine..

Charles Ajemian (Director):
Charles has significant experience in executive management, marketing, communications, media and software development of strategic Internet systems. Since 1999, Charles has been the founder, president and chief executive officer of Mediaflux Corporation, a Richmond, Virginia, based software development company specializing in the development of strategic Internet systems, proprietary web initiatives, multimedia management systems and value proposition communications for major U.S. and foreign corporate and institutional clients. Since 2008, Charles has served as the creative director of NC4, Inc. (The National Center for Crisis Coordination and Continuity). The El Segundo, California, software development company is a leading specialist in global incident monitoring, planned and emergency event management and secure collaboration portals for the U.S. and foreign corporate and institutional clients.
In addition to Richmond Unite, Charles has served on several local boards including Freedom House, and the VMFA Business Council. Charles attended Virginia Commonwealth University, majoring in communications arts and design where he is now an adjunct professor of web design in the Mass Communications Department.
Charles lives in Richmond with his beautiful wife Elany and wonderful Waldorf children, Kyria and Czar.

David vanBlaricom II (Technology Partner and all around brilliant web guy):
David is a father, a tech nerd and an entrepreneur. He grew up in Roanoke, VA and has had a computer in front of him since the Tandy 1000 in 1984. He studied Digital Art and Animation at the School of Communication Arts in Raleigh, NC; Art, Film and Music at VCU; and Computer Science at Virginia Tech. He’s won various awards for his creative work, but focuses on front-end web and mobile development, content management, business development, and marketing. He started V4 Development, a full-service web and mobile development company, at the beginning of 2010 where he has worked with a spectrum of notable clients such as Raven+Crow, the United Nations, Touchstone Energy Cooperatives, and JSA Technologies.
Hobbies: Home remodeling, snowboarding, riding his motorcycle, playing music and working on his Jeep
